WALL PAPER
Does art have the vocation to be decorative or not? Vast question which would deserve
hours of cerebral agitation to test an answer. Stephan Mehl, combines to him both with his
work and thus solves the question by creating wallpaper of art. “It is really between art
and the décoration", delimiting its universe by art, creation, drawing and technologies.

| After studies of theatre and history of art,
Stephan Mehl devotes himself to painting, oils, acrylic on fabric but also woodcarving and
plaster, serigraphy. In 1995 it discovers data processing: a revelation which becomes its
"brush" of creation. It thus mixes its first loves with this numerical work and melts WLP
Wall Partner. a company of decoration specialized in the creation of art in mechanized impression.
It uses as supports with its créations/?uvres the kakemonos or of the breadths of paper,
fabrics, the luminous boxes even of metal. |

To make data-processing tool a brush? Between the hands of the creator
Stephan Mehl (company WLP Wall Partner), it is possible. After having explored painting
on fabric, it is initiated with the universe of numerical and with the mechanized impression.
In love with decorative arts, Stephan Mehl confronts the styles with talent, associating
monument of architecture, mode, portrait and reason vegetal. Element headlight of its collection,
Kakemono, halfway between the wallpaper and the table, is published in single part or series.
